In a personal invitation you get a pincode or URL to login to this setup guide. The installation process is very easy and won’t take more than five minutes of your time. On iOS this is done by adding a URL to your internet settings, on Android you can download an app. Hereafter Wakoopa runs in the background and will not influence your battery life or speed of your internet connection.
It won't take more than five minutes of your time.
Wakoopa (WakoopaQA1) on your Android smartphone/tablet only works with the internal mobile browser and the mobile version of Chrome, so we ask you to only use these during your participation.
Yes, you will. When everything is installed correctly, you won't notice anything. You can just use your smartphone/tablet like you always did. We've thoroughly tested the solution and Wakoopa does not influence the speed of your connection or your battery life. If something doesn't work as expected, you can always contact us.
Every Android device you setup, gets a pincode to enter in the application. You can find this code by clicking on your device in the overview on the homepage.
Go to the settings screen of your device. Go to 'Apps' (or Applications) and choose the option "All". Choose the app from the list, and click on "Uninstall" to remove it.
This is only necessary when you have added settings for Android, which is mostly not the case. Go to the settings screen of your device. Go to "Wireless and Networks" -> "Mobile Networks" -> "Access Points" (or "APNs"). Remove the proxy settings. These steps also apply for removing the settings for your WiFi connection.
On your device, go to "Settings" and click on "General" and then on "Profiles". Open the profile "Wakoopa" and click on "Remove".
If you are using iOS 6.x: Due to a bug in iOS 6.x, it is necessary to reset your network settings after removing the profile, to make sure the proxy settings are indeed removed from your device. To do this, go back to "General" and click "Reset". From there, click "Reset Network Settings". Note: *This will clear your current Wi-Fi network settings, including saved networks, Wi-Fi passwords, and VPN settings. This is necessary due to an issue in iOS 6.
Go to "Settings" and click on "WiFi". Press the "i" icon (or blue arrow) for the networks where you have installed the Wakoopa proxy. Scroll to the bottom of the screen and under "HTTP Proxy" click the "Off" button.
Yes it is secure. Our software only registers URL's and app names never usernames, passwords or other personal information.
Wakoopa tracks which sites you visit via your browser and which apps you use on your smartphone/tablet. Apps that use a secured connection (like e-banking and email) can only be identified. We cannot see the data that is being transferred.
If you use the Android app, you can choose to pause tracking your app behavior. On your iOS device you can switch the wifi proxy off and delete the profile you installed on your device to disable the tracker.
Check if you are only using your cellular data connection. Make sure your WiFi connection is turned off and try to visit a website. You keep getting stuck on this step? Please contact us and we'll help you out.
It is possible that you are still using the settings from the trial. Remove all the configured settings (see the questions above) and try again.
No. The software runs in the background and sends information to the server only periodically. The software only has minimal impact on your system.
