Privacy Policy

Wakoopa takes your privacy very seriously and will process and use information about you safely. Wakoopa’s Privacy Policy is shown on this page. We advise you to read the Privacy Policy carefully. The words that are capitalised in the Privacy Policy are defined in the Conditions for Use.

1. Wakoopa

Wakoopa B.V. has its registered office in (1012 JC) Amsterdam at Warmoesstraat 149, is registered with the Chamber of Commerce in Amsterdam (the Netherlands) under number 34266985 and is active on the website https://wakoopa.com. The way in which your personal details are stored and used has been reported to the Dutch Data Protection Authority under number 1463298.

Wakoopa provides a Tracker with which your surfing behaviour on the internet is registered. Wakoopa stores the information that this yields and makes this information available to her clients, as defined in the Conditions for use (‘Client’), for the purpose of market research.

By installing the Tracker or changing the settings of your Device so that the Details are sent to Wakoopa by a proxy, you give Wakoopa permission to use your personal details for the purpose of supplying Wakoopa’s services to the Client.

The Tracker is meant for persons aged 16 (sixteen) and up. If you are under the age of 16 (sixteen) you are not allowed to use the Tracker. If you agree to this Privacy Policy, Wakoopa assumes that you are indeed 16 (sixteen) or older.

2. Personal details

Details

Wakoopa uses the Tracker to collect the following details on your internet behaviour:

• the URLs of the websites you visit,
• what time you visited the websites and the length of time you spent on them,
• the search words you entered,
• the software and applications you used and
• the advertisements you viewed,
• a unique user number.

Also, Wakoopa can receive supplementary information from the Panel provider, including the socio-demographic details that you furnished to the Panel provider for this purpose, like your education and age. These details will never contain your name or email address.

3. Purposes

Wakoopa uses the information about you for the following purposes:

• to provide Wakoopa’s services to its clients for purposes of market research;
• to send you information about Wakoopa’s own services, only with the consent of the Panel provider;
• to draw up anonymised statistical details;
• to adjust and improve the Tracker or Wakoopa’s services;
• to provide your information to third parties on the basis of statutory obligations.

4. Third-party use

Wakoopa can provide your personal details (as set out above under number 2) to third parties only if Wakoopa has entered into an agreement with that third party. This will only happen with the consent of the Panel provider. The agreement contains safeguards and limitations to protect your privacy.

Also, Wakoopa can furnish your details to third parties if it is obliged to do so by law or as the result of legal proceedings and/or if it finds it necessary to do so to protect its own rights.

If Wakoopa continues to grow and develop, it is possible that one or more divisions or assets of the company will be transferred to a third party or that Wakoopa will merge with a third party. In that case your personal details may be transferred as well.

5. Transfer to third countries

It is possible that Wakoopa transfers your personal details to clients located outside the European Union (EU). Wakoopa will only do so with the consent of the Panel provider and if a suitable level of protection of your personal details is guaranteed, or if you have given your unequivocal permission for this.

6. Security

Wakoopa will take suitable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal details from loss or any form of unlawful processing.

7. Storing the details

Wakoopa keeps your personal details for as long as is necessary for the performance of the agreement with the Client and/or the Panel provider. After this, your personal details will be deleted by Wakoopa.

It is at all times possible to uninstall the Tracker or to change the settings on your Device so that no new Details are collected. Wakoopa is then still authorised to use your personal details, but will delete them immediately at your request.
